If what you always purchase from Costco is office supplies they can just always categorize them as such without seeing the receipt. Yes communication is very important between a bookkeeper and business owner.Īs far as receipts go a bookkeeper doesn’t necessarily need those. On top of that, I actually would like to do bookkeeping manually, at least at first because it honestly helps me know what I'm doing later when I can actually afford bookkeeping services of some sort. I'm looking for the following:ġ) Tutorials with explanations on what I need to keep and whyĢ) Templates or example bookkeeping spreadsheetsģ) What platforms you use and why do you trust them? So, if anyone can link me to good tutorials and resources, I'd greatly appreciate it. Frankly, I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to keeping records, I don't know what records I need to keep, I don't know how I need to keep them, etc. Now, I know what I need to do when it comes to the main draw of my business, that's not an issue, but if there's one thing that I dread it's bookkeeping.
